Mancini on the podium of Roma’s top goal-scoring defenders!
He’s on the podium! With his great, decisive goal against Nice, Gianluca Mancini has now scored a total of 19 goals for Roma.
This achievement means that he is third among Roma’s top goal-scoring defenders of all time, tied with Sebino Nela and Aleksandar Kolarov!
Gianluca is now just one goal away from reaching Serie A winner Aldair. He too, like Mancini, was a centre-back. Higher up in first place there’s Christian Panucci, who scored 31 goals for Roma.
Behind Mancini are another Serie A winner, Vincent Candela, and Alessandro Florenzi, who scored 16 goals since he started playing as a right full-back in a Champions League match in Moscow against CSKA in 2014 (28 in total).
